Do DSCR loans affect credit score?

A DSCR loan made to you personally usually reports to the credit bureaus like any mortgage, so on-time payments help and late payments hurt. A loan closed in an LLC often does not appear on your personal report, though you signed a personal guarantee and lenders will still find it on a mortgage search.

The application itself produces a hard inquiry, which costs a few points for a few months. Once the loan reports, it adds to your total debt and lengthens your credit history. Paying it as agreed builds your score over time the way any installment loan does.

Whether an LLC loan reports depends on the lender and servicer; many business-purpose loans are not reported to consumer bureaus. That keeps your personal file clean but is not invisible: the next lender will see the mortgage on title and count it when assessing reserves.
